
I promissed to publish a pattern for the small crocheted mushroom. I first started with a pattern of Orangeflower. The results I took for a photo shoot in the dunes of Texel.
But I wanted to have a much smaller version I could use as embellishment on a zippered pouch. So I created my own crochet pattern, this is the end result:
Little crocheted mushroom
sc = single crochet (vaste)
- 4 single crochet using the adjustable ring technique with white yarn.
- *1 sc in the first sc, 2 sc in the 2nd repeat after * till you have 6sc in this round.
- 1 sc in each sc.
- 1 sc in each sc.
- 1 sc in each sc joining red in the last sc.
- 2 sc in each sc till you have 12 sc in this round.
- *1 sc in the first sc, 2 sc in the 2nd repeat after * till you have 18 sc in this round.
- 1 sc in each sc.
- * 1 sc in the first sc, join the 2nd and third sc repeat after * till you have 12 sc in this round.
- * 1 sc in the first sc, join the 2nd and third sc repeat after * till you have 8 sc in this round.
- * 1 join 1st and the 2nd sc repeat after * till you have 4 sc in this round.
Cut yarn leaving a tail, pull end through last loop on hook to secure.
Stuff mushroom with polyfill.
Weave yarn end through last stitches and go once trough a small ribbon for hanging. Pull tight to close the hole. Tack closed.
Using white yarn take running stitches to decorate mushroom cap.
