In Holland we celebrate Sinterklaas on december 5th. Children receive presents from Sinterklaas and the grownups write poems and create ’surprises’ for each other. We eat ‘kruidnoten’, ‘marsepein’, ’speculaas’ and other sweets, and you may receive a chocolate character in your shoe.
I have always wanted to have my full name in chocolate characters. This year I just made up a reason why, so I allowed myself to buy all the letters! It felt so good…!
And the result can be seen as my blog header this week, christmas just has to wait a little longer.
