I want to thank you all who has given me feedback on my first business cards try-outs. By comment, filling in the poll or even face2face. It really helped me making the decision how to go for the ‘real’ version.

I have chosen to make two versions, one to hand out to friends and potential customers and such, and an other version to hand out on business occasions like trade markets. I found out that for trade markets I need a version with my full details like mail address and phone number.

For the friends and customer version I used MOO mini cards with 15 different prints. Next time I will use different pictures, I’m not 100% happy how they turned out. I will also add the tag line ‘Workshops, stoffen en fournituren’ next time. But the idea to have a bunch of those little cards I like very much :-)

With the business version I’m totally happy, I have changed and added some pictures, and also the back side works really well I think.

So thank you all, I will definitely come back to you when I need help again making creative decisions.

Sorry for being a bit absent lately. I told you about my crafting block earlier, it’s still there unfortunately. So today, on my day off from the office (I have that every Wednesday) I started organising the mess in the upstairs atelier, the living room and now my home office… And indeed it makes me feel better. I guess it’s all true what they say, an organised home gives an organised mind. I de cluttered a lot today, I will make my second trip to the old paper collection unit down the street, in a few minutes.

During my lunch break today, I went to the American Book Center, and flipped trough the latest issue of RealSimple and got even more inspired for de cluttering all the mess at home. Look at those colours and inspiring ideas, yummy I can feel the inspiration starting to flow again.

Today I want to share two blogs of blogging friends I have met in real live today. We got to know each other through the Blogging Your Way class of Holly Becker (Decor8) and Leslie Shewring (A creative mint). We were the only three Dutch students and coincidently living close together. We chose the Sunday Market at Westerpark in Amsterdam for our gathering. This market was full of inspiration and lovely things to buy.

The first blog today is from Eline. She works as a freelance designer and illustrator. On her blog she shares her latest work and examples made with her craft and card making products (like stencils, stamps and printed paper). She invites other designers to create projects with her products and she shares her inspiration.

The second blog today is Mamutopia from Maartje. She makes all kinds of things with paper: postcards, notebooks, buttons, etc. Every weekend she shares her happy stats of the week, and she sells her creations via Etsy.

These weeks I’m participating in the Blogging Your Way class of Holly Becker (from the Decor8 blog). During 7 weeks you will learn about yourself and your passions, your goals with your blog, and what you could do to better achieve your blogging goals.

For this weeks homework we had to create an inspiration board that best defines the style and things I want to cover/do cover on my blog. Or just showing what I personally love and I’d like to share more on my blog.

It became a bit of both for me, I hope you can see that I want my blog to be fun and cheerful.

I love to browse trough inspiration mosaics others have made. This way I often land on flickr pages I didn’t yet know of and loved to find. I tried a few inspiration mosaics before, the one I made today I found worth sharing with you all. Maybe you find some new flickr pages now.
