I designed some sunny items for an outdoor picknick with the Eline’s Huis fabric Meadow, buttons, and lace. You can find them, with a work description, in the Dutch craft magazine ‘Mijn Creatieve Hobby‘.

It feels so funny and exciting to see my name in a magazine :-)

Time for a give away – At home kinderen

A while ago I bought two copies of ‘At home kinderen’, it’s a special of the ‘Ariadne at home’ magazine. One was to keep and one to give away on my blog. I don’t know why but it never came to posting the give away.

But today, to celebrate the return of my creative crafting flow, and as a late celebration of my 100th blogpost (this is actually number 116) I give away three issues of ‘At home kinderen’ the two 2008 issues and the latest 2010 issue.

My magazine fairy

Some magazines I really love I can’t buy at home. Living & More from Germany is one of those. Last year I found my first copy in a magazine rack at a gas station. Back home I checked the internet to find out if I could get a subscription, bu unfortunately they don’t deliver to The Netherlands.

So now when I hear someone is traveling to or trough Germany, I ask if they want to look out for Living & More. This year I asked my mum and dad, my sister and I looked myself, but none of us could get a hand on an issue.

But luckily my best friend is also my magazine fairy :-) And not only brought she the latest issue of Living & More, but also a premium special called ‘Country-Träume wohnen’. They are both so colorful and packed with inspiration. Bless my magazine fairy.

Who is in for a spring magazine swap?

One of my favorite Dutch design magazines is 101 Woonideeën. I have a subscription and every month when I pick up my new copy from the mailbox, the cover puts a smile on my face. Friends who are following me for a while now, will know I have a ‘bit’ of a magazine addiction. When I visit other countries I’m always on the look for colourful and inspirational magazines, I even ask friends an family to bring me copies if I read about something special on other blogs.

So if you live outside The Netherlands and you have a favorite magazine you think I would love too. And you would like to swap it with me for this copy of 101 Woonideeën, please let me know so we can setup a spring magazine swap. (I will add some spring happiness with the magazine)

p.s. If you were wondering what that shoe is doing in the picture…. those are my new spring/summer ballerina’s that arrived in the mail yesterday. Those are Rieker shoes, and for me they fit heavenly. I bought them here

A magazine shot

Today I received a shot to feed my magazine addiction… About two weeks ago I saw the Donna Hay kids magazine on the Yvestown blog, and spend a whole evening searching the internet if I could order an issue, but no luck.

And praise internet and internet tools like Twitter, because Sarah London offered me to help me out. We have set up a magazine swap, (here you can see what I have send Sarah) and so it happened that today I received these yummie magazines from down under. Thank you so much Sarah.

I just looooove swapping

I just so looooove swapping. The bit of birthday nerves I used to have when I was young, wondering what I would get. Those same tinkeling nerves I feel when I know a package is on it’s way to me.

A while ago I set up a magazine swap with Clare from the Lulu Carter blog. She really loves the Dutch magazine ‘Ariadne at Home Kinderen’ which is, to say, impossible to get in Australia. I liked to get the Australian Homespun in return, which is very hard to get here.

Have a look at the lovely presents I received today, the paper handkerchiefs make me smile, and I think I don’t dare to use them…. And the matroeshka paper with the green and white striped ribbon, sigh…. nice wrapping makes a present so much more valuable. And off course the Homespun Magazines full of inspiration!!

Since a year I look for crafty and inspiring magazines when I’m visiting other countries. When we were traveling to Austria trough Germany, I found such a lovely, inspiring, great new magazine. I checked every store where they sold magazines for new issues, on the picture you can see the harvest.

I really love the Country Living version the best, the spread pictures are from that one. Back home I imediately checked the internet, if I could submit for a subscription. But unfortunately they only deliver in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Now here comes my help question: would someone who is reading my blog, and lives in Germany, wants to send me this magazine? Off course I will pay for the magazine and the postage, or I could send you a Dutch magazine in return, for example the ‘Ariadne at home‘. Please let me know who would be ‘in’ for such an exchange line.
