My artist cousin, who lives and works in Berlin, has just started her etsy shop. I appreciate her very much for the fact she just moved to Berlin a few years ago, and is living an artists live there. Just by that… something I wouldn’t dare to do…..

While browsing the internet and through magazines I stumbled upon these very desirable items. I love them for various reasons:

1. Canvas tote bag – bird in cage (dolly blake) I love it for it’s simple bird print
2. Sewing collection in a can – Favorite stamp set (karaku’s shop) I need more stamps, just because. And I love these extra special because of the packaging and the sewing prints.
3. Easy to grow flower and vegetable seeds (The Balcony Gardener). I want these for the packaging alone, it’s just stunning. I was thrilled to find a web shop especially aimed at the balcony gardener, as we only have a balcony with our apartment.
4. Bright retro metal storage trunks (Rose and Grey) I definitely need all of these to give my supplies the storage space they deserve….

Serendipity is the last, but certainly not the least, Paris shop I feature on my blog. This one was one of the first that appeared on my ‘must visit’ list. Clare, from the Lulu Carter blog, insisted I had to go there, but I was already convinced by the pictures of this shop she had put on her own blog.

As a funny coincidence the shop just opened their doors on our second day in Paris, at a new location, 81-83 Rue du Cherche-midi, that was just a five minutes walk from our hotel :-)

I was stunned by the carpet patchwork they made in their entrance, don’t you just love the idea?

Right next to HOME Autour du Monde, Rue des Francs Bourgeois 8, you can find the most yummy haberdashery store I have ever visited. The shop is mostly full with buttons and ribbon, but they also sell Liberty fabric, wool felt and patterns.

I spent a fortune on French ribbons, I loved them and I now try to find the wholesaler so I can have them for my own shop too.

Another great shop in Paris is HOME Autour du Monde. I found a lot of inspiration there, they offer a nice mix of vintage like and design stuff. I visited their shop on Rue des Francs Bourgeois 8, which they call their concept store.

The street Rue des Francs Bourgeois is worth visiting all by itself, it’s a cozy street with a lot of cool shops. Before we entered the street, we first revitalized ourselves on Place des Vosges, a beautiful, beautiful square in the Marais.

Antoine & Lili was on the recommendation list of Clare, from the Lulu Carter blog. And she was so right, I was so overwhelmed by the shops, I couldn’t buy anything (lucky for my wallet ;-)) On their website I found out that they have several shops around Paris. I have visited the ‘flag’ store  (Le Village) on sunday, which is next to the St Martin canal.

Actually there are three shops there, a pink, green and yellow one. One with women cloths, one with children cloths and toys and one with lovely goodies for your home.

These shops above are two of my favorite shops on Texel: ‘t Lant van Texsel and De Witte Engel.

‘t Lant van Texsel is full of lovely stuff for inspiration and just to have… they sell Rice, Anne-Claire Petit and lots of other stuff in my favorite colours. De Witte Engel is a shop full of crafting materials, especialy known for their felt and felting materials.

‘t Lant van Texsel is also called ‘Petra’s winkeltje’ (Petra’s store) by people who know me, I have no idea why…. ;-)

And look at those presents below, they make me happy every time I see them. the Pip cushions are a present from myself for myself. And the cute Anne-Claire Petit cat is a present from M. How did he know I’m such an Anne-Claire Petit fan…?
